Down The
Road
Pride, Prejudice, Doubt
LIGHTBEAM
I swear,
I won’t say a thing what I have witnessed,
I want to know the truth,
Who is he?
Does he hide in the white or
black boxes?
Maybe he is pitch-black darkness,
Is he afraid of daylight?
I don’t have a clue,
Cockroach Philosophy Teacher creeps closer to Shades Queen.
COCKROACH PHILOSOPHY
TEACHER (flirtingly)
I love aggressive women,
I love being stalked and
chased,
We are a match made in heaven,
It drives me crazy to know,
There is one irresistible
creature,
Who can share the sunrise with
me,
Who can be always near to up my
down mindset,
I dream about being noticed,
One day you’ll lay your eye on
me,
Let me touch you,
My hope will be dead if you refuse
to hold it,
I’ll rave the word ‘love’ in
all tongues ever spoken,
It’s always hot to be caught
in the places where you are forbidden to be,
SHADES QUEEN (with obvious disgust)
I’ll play under one condition,
If cockies vanish from my visual field,
Lock them in the jar,
Send them back to the kitchen,
I want a strong guarantee,
They won’t escape from their
prison,
These weirdos from Madagascar
deserve the worst fate,
BREATHTAKING and FRAGILE
It’s funny to watch people’s
reaction,
When they face cockies being kept
as pets,
Some people wince,
The majority is disgusted,
Some people are frightened,
Only few daredevils are open
minded,
To touch, to pat, to hold them in
their hands,
Book of Crosswords angrily chases roaches with a
well-sharpened pencil. Cockroach Philosophy Teacher hides under the saucer.
Book of Crosswords drops into a deep bow
before Shades Queen.
I give you my word, madam,
No harasser will ever annoy
you again,
Don’t sow doubts,
And you won’t reap tears,
The sunrise is awesome,
But it’s due to expire,
Mesdames,
Messieurs,
S’il vous plait,
Clues!
